Public Notice Request for Public Input on the Greene County Transit Board Program of Projects (POP): The Greene County Transit Board (Greene CATS Public Transit) has developed a Program of Projects (POP) which lists its proposed new uses of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds. The Board would like your comments on the POP. The following is a summary of the proposed new uses of FTA funds with the date and amount of FTA funds to be used: Federal Fiscal Year 2024 FTA Section 5307 formula grant funds for Operations in Calendar Year 2025 and 2026 at $1,093,903, Preventive Maintenance in Calendar Year 2025 and 2026 at $291,708 and Purchase Vehicles in Calendar Year 2025 or 2026 at $72,927. Other projects that will be funded by FTA funds have already been presented in previous Programs of Projects and had accompanying public input. Greene CATS Public Transit will be holding a public hearing Wednesday, June 11, 2025 , from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the Xenia Community Library, 76 E. Market Street, Xenia, OH 45385 and Thursday, June 12, 2025 , from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Fairborn Community Library, 1 East Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio. Interpreters for persons with hearing impairments or translators for persons with limited English proficiency can be provided at the public hearing with at least one-week notice. Your comments will be accepted by Greene CATS Public Transit until Friday, June 13, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. The proposed POP will be the final Program of Projects unless amended due to public comments and a final notice will not be published.
